An exhilarating concert that transforms into a dance performance
In Shake Shake Shake: first edition, De Dansers research how dance can be woven into a concert. In the dark, in between the instruments, the music sounds like an contagious invitation to move, to shake off all the misery. Beneath joyful sounds, madness hides, that may sound funny but is actually quite dangerous. With bodies, voices and instruments, a live band of dancers and musicians concoct a cocktail full of contained anger and excessive joy, pain and madness, dance-until-you’re-dead and laugh-until-you-cry. In the summer of 2018, De Dansers create and present the first short festival edition. In the summer of 2019, the full length version of Shake Shake Shake will appear, for theatres and unusual locations.
